6 High-Performance Highlights of the 2025 Corvette Stingray

The best answer is often the simplest. The 2025 Corvette Stingray sticks to that idea, offering raw performance and everyday comfort. Here are some of its highlights. more 6 High-Performance Highlights of the 2025 Corvette Stingray 1. 6.2-Liter Naturally Aspirated V8 Most performance cars today use turbocharged engines. In contrast, the Stingray is powered by a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated dry-sumped V8. Chevy engineers chose this setup because it delivers instant throttle response, a wide power band, and fewer cooling demands. Total output comes in at 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Adding the performance exhaust, which includes a second set of flipper valves, raises output slightly to 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft. 2. Z51 Performance Package The full potential of the 2025 Stingray, including its 2.6-second sprint, shows up only with the Z51 Performance Package. Therefore, if you're planning to push your car hard, this package is essential. Among its upgrades are Brembo brakes, performance suspension, a freer-flowing exhaust, a shorter rear axle ratio, an electronic limited-slip differential, Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires, and a heavy-duty cooling system. 3. 8-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission The 2025 Stingray uses a Tremec-sourced eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. It snaps through shifts in just a hundred milliseconds and keeps power flowing to the wheels the entire time. If you hold both paddle shifters, it disconnects the clutches, so you get full control when you want it. 4. Suspension The standard suspension on the 2025 Stingray features short/long arm double wishbones with forged aluminum upper and cast aluminum L-shaped lower control arms, 46 mm monotube shock absorbers, and a direct-acting rear stabilizer bar. This configuration keeps the car stable during aggressive driving while remaining smooth and comfortable for everyday use. 5. Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0 The aforementioned base suspension is solid, but once you try Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0, you'll notice how much it changes the feel. Flip to the stiffest setting, and it's like you're in a race car. Every bump and detail comes through loud and clear. If you switch to the softest setting, it smoothes everything out like a luxury sedan. 6. Performance Data and Video Recorder This tool records video and audio from inside the car while tracking performance data like speed, RPM, g-forces, lap times, and even your track layout. You can review the captured footage right on the vehicle's touchscreen or save it to an SD card for later review. Oh, and by the way, it also works great as a front-facing dashcam. If you're ready to see what the Stingray can do, stop by JK Chevrolet in Nederland, TX, for a test drive.

3 Reasons to Choose the 2025 Chevy Suburban

There's plenty to love about the 2025 Chevy Suburban, such as its spacious interior and generous cargo space, which is ideal for growing families or drivers who love outdoor recreation. This powerful, full-size SUV has all the rugged, workhorse power of a pickup truck and all the comforts of a premium, family-friendly vehicle. Explore all the reasons to love the Suburban, from affordability to intelligent safety software. more Three Reasons to Choose the 2025 Chevy Suburban 1. All-Weather Ready The Suburban is prepared for reliable performance in all weather conditions, particularly when drivers opt for the 4WD configuration. Along with LED headlights that cut through heavy rain and dim lighting conditions, the Suburban is equipped with rain-sensing windshield wipers. These windshield wipers turn on when rain hits the windshield and can adjust wiper speed based on rainfall speed to keep your view of the road clear. Drivers can boost the all-weather preparedness of this model by opting for the All-Weather Liner Protection Package, which adds all-weather floor liners to all three rows of seating and an all-weather cargo area liner. Additionally, models like the Z71 have standard LED fog lights. 2. Competitive Efficiency The 2025 Chevy Suburban price is cost-effective for drivers on a budget in more ways than one. In terms of ongoing vehicle costs, drivers can expect to save a lot of money at the pump because of the estimated Chevy Suburban MPG. This competitive gas mileage means the Suburban with RWD gets 17 MPG combined, while the AWD model with the 5.3-liter engine gets 16 MPG combined. On models like the High Country with an equipped 6.2-liter engine, the full-size model gets 15 MPG in the city and 19 MPG on the highway with a rear-wheel drivetrain. When the High Country has an all-wheel drivetrain, it gets 14 MPG in the city and 18 MPG combined. With a 28-gallon fuel tank capacity, this means most Suburban models have a highway range well over 500 miles. 3. Configurable Seating On the base Suburban model, the third-row bench seat can fold manually to extend the cargo area to make room for large gear, extra suitcases, boxes, and more. On upper models, such as the Premiere 4WD, the third row bench seat can fold at the push of a button. The split-bench style of the third-row seat allows drivers to fold one or both sides to customize the amount of passenger and cargo space. Similarly, the second-row bench seat on the LS model has a manual release that enables flat or split-folding, depending on your cargo needs. Higher trims have power-adjustable second-row bucket seats, which drop the maximum passenger capacity from eight to seven, but allow for easier access to the third-row seats. The Chevy Suburban is a premium SUV perfect for families with active lifestyles and drivers who need a versatile vehicle for work or recreation. Leasing Tips from JK Chevrolet

If you like the idea of driving a new car every few years, leasing could be the best solution for you. JK Chevrolet in Nederland, Texas is here to help you through the leasing process. This quick guide tackles the leasing process specifically and begins with a few first steps. You should have already researched the car you want. 1. Check for Lease Specials Our Specials page is frequently updated with all the current lease deals. Automakers typically advertise deals that feature low monthly payments or zero cash at signing. In some cases, they may offer both. Though the low monthly payment may seem more appealing, it is usually a better move to get a deal with no down payment. Down payments — also known as cap reductions — should be kept to a minimum in leasing. If you happen to get into an accident soon after leasing the car, gap insurance (which covers what traditional car insurance doesn't) will take care of the major expenses, but your down payment will be lost. If you absolutely need the monthly payment to be in a certain range that fits your budget, it's a better idea to take the money you would use for the down payment and put it into a separate bank account. You then use it to help make the monthly payments. 2. Locate Your Vehicle and Compare Quotes Once you know what to expect in terms of payments, the next step is to locate the vehicle and request a quote. Use our New Inventory Tool to locate the model and color you are looking for. Once you've narrowed the cars down to a few candidates, contact our Internet manager to verify that the car has the options you want. Ask about any additional fees that may not have been listed in the advertisement. Not every car described will match your ideal configuration, so you may have to be flexible on options and color in order to get the best deal. 3. Review the Lease Agreement Arrange to have the vehicle delivered to your home or workplace, whichever is more convenient for you. In the meantime, call your insurance company and let your agent or customer-service representative know that you'll need coverage for your new car. Once the car arrives, take a close look at the lease agreement. Make sure that your personal information is correct. You don't have to read the whole thing top to bottom, but pay attention to important lease-specific details such as: • The length of the lease in months (we recommend 36 months). • The amount due at signing (we recommend no money down). • The number of miles allowed per year (usually 12,000). • The monthly payment, including taxes and all fees. • The inclusion of gap insurance in the contract. 4. Take Delivery After you have signed the paperwork, have the salesperson walk around the vehicle with you. Make sure there are no scratches, dents or dings. Make sure you get an owner's manual, a spare key and a copy of the lease agreement. Most dealers throw in a full tank of gas and a car detailing, so ensure that's been done. Now is also the time to ask any last-minute questions you may have about the vehicle. Ask the salesperson anything you want to know, from pairing your phone with the vehicle via Bluetooth to operating the navigation system. 5. Managing Your Lease Now that you've officially leased the vehicle, there are a few things to keep in mind. It is important to have the maintenance performed at scheduled intervals. Consult the owner's manual for more information or search for your car in the Edmunds maintenance guide. Make sure that you stay within your mileage limits to avoid extra fees at the end of your term. The typical range is between 10,000 and 12,000 miles per year. The team at Nederland, TX is here to help, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to us with any lease questions. Contact us to get started!

Dutch Windmill

Dutch Windmill Museum: An important part of Nederland History

The Dutch Windmill Museum of Nederland is an excellent choice for a fun afternoon with family or friends. JK Chevrolet is proud to call Nederland home and this local fixture is where you can learn about local history and view some pretty cool artifacts. Trip Advisor rates it the area's number one attraction with a park and two museums on the property. The story of the Dutch Windmill Museum begins in 1898 when immigrants from Holland, citizens of Nederland, erected an exact replica of a Dutch windmill in tribute to their heritage. Artifacts are displayed on three floors of the building along with a small gift shop stocked with imported items from Holland. On display are a trunk brought from Holland before the turn of the century, wooden shoes, the 1952 Gold Medal won by W.F. (Buddy) Davis, a native son; and mementos of the late Tex Ritter, country and western music star, who called Nederland home. The first floor of the museum has a western theme, featuring a suit, boots and other items owned by Tex Ritter, presented by his family. The Texas State Historical Survey Committee erected a historical marker in front of the building in 1970. A marker honoring War Veterans is located in a small park area and the facility is owned by the City. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated. The museums are open Tuesdays through Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays 1:00-5:00 p.m. Closed Mondays and holidays. Tour groups are welcomed, but please call ahead to schedule.

Emergency Supplies

Emergency Supplies

With winter coming, there are a number of emergency supplies you should always have in your vehicle. You never know what type of emergency you might run into, so don't tempt fate by not having what you need on hand. Here is a basic list of the emergency supplies your truck should be equipped with. 1. Road Flares Every truck should be equipped with a set of road flares. Not only can these be used to mark your location in the event of an accident, they can be used to start fires in an emergency, especially in wet or snowy weather. 2. Water No matter what time of year it happens to be, you should always have at least one gallon of potable water stashed away in your truck. If you are planning a longer than normal trip, you should try to find storage space for three gallons. 3. Food Being stuck on the side of the road is not much fun, but when you have been there for a few hours, having a few snacks can mean the difference between a bad experience and one that feels disastrous. 4. Blankets Certainly, having a blanket or two can help keep you warm if you break down or slide off the road in the winter. But did you ever consider that blankets can also be a great source of shade in the heat of summer? You can achieve the same results with sleeping bags as well. 5. Jumper Cables This one is so obvious it shouldn't need to be on the list, but a surprising number of people don't keep a set in their vehicle. 6. A First Aid Kit You should never leave home without one. 7.
