The best answer is often the simplest. The 2025 Corvette Stingray sticks to that idea, offering raw performance and everyday comfort. Here are some of its highlights.

6 High-Performance Highlights of the 2025 Corvette Stingray

1. 6.2-Liter Naturally Aspirated V8

Most performance cars today use turbocharged engines. In contrast, the Stingray is powered by a 6.2-liter naturally aspirated dry-sumped V8. Chevy engineers chose this setup because it delivers instant throttle response, a wide power band, and fewer cooling demands. Total output comes in at 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Adding the performance exhaust, which includes a second set of flipper valves, raises output slightly to 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft.

2. Z51 Performance Package

The full potential of the 2025 Stingray, including its 2.6-second sprint, shows up only with the Z51 Performance Package. Therefore, if you’re planning to push your car hard, this package is essential. Among its upgrades are Brembo brakes, performance suspension, a freer-flowing exhaust, a shorter rear axle ratio, an electronic limited-slip differential, Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires, and a heavy-duty cooling system.

3. 8-Speed Dual-Clutch Transmission

The 2025 Stingray uses a Tremec-sourced eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. It snaps through shifts in just a hundred milliseconds and keeps power flowing to the wheels the entire time. If you hold both paddle shifters, it disconnects the clutches, so you get full control when you want it.

4. Suspension

The standard suspension on the 2025 Stingray features short/long arm double wishbones with forged aluminum upper and cast aluminum L-shaped lower control arms, 46 mm monotube shock absorbers, and a direct-acting rear stabilizer bar. This configuration keeps the car stable during aggressive driving while remaining smooth and comfortable for everyday use.

5. Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0

The aforementioned base suspension is solid, but once you try Magnetic Selective Ride Control 4.0, you’ll notice how much it changes the feel. Flip to the stiffest setting, and it’s like you’re in a race car. Every bump and detail comes through loud and clear. If you switch to the softest setting, it smoothes everything out like a luxury sedan.

6. Performance Data and Video Recorder

This tool records video and audio from inside the car while tracking performance data like speed, RPM, g-forces, lap times, and even your track layout. You can review the captured footage right on the vehicle’s touchscreen or save it to an SD card for later review. Oh, and by the way, it also works great as a front-facing dashcam.
