The 2024 Chevy Tahoe is about as functional as large SUVs can come, with minivan-like passenger accommodations and pickup-rivaling towing abilities. For 2024, the 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 is now on the RST, Z71, and Premier trim levels. The off-road-oriented Z71 adds an electronic limited-slip differential for Chevy’s adventurous buyers as well. The Tahoe's set of standard driver assists now consists of auto high beams, front and rear vehicle parking sensors, lane-maintaining assistance, and much more. GM's Buckle to Drive function has become standard and inhibits switching out of park unless the driver and front passenger (if you have one) are buckled. The Chevy Tahoe has been powered by a V-8 for its entire life, and this carries on for the most recent generation. However, its standard 355-hp 5.3-liter and available 420-horsepower 6.2-liter engines are joined with a diesel 3-liter six-cylinder motor. Every Tahoe is equipped with a 10-speed auto transmission and either rear- or all-wheel drive. The Z71 trim also provides air springs (that enable the Tahoe's ride height to be automatically and manually lowered or raised) and adaptive dampers, which are standard on the upper-echelon Premier and High Country packages. This latest generation Tahoe offers its largest inside yet. The Tahoe’s third-row now provides about 10" of legroom, along with the second-row seating now sliding fore and aft to deliver much more flexibility. The Tahoe's interior also provides a lower and flatter load surface as a result of its independent rear suspension the cargo area together with the second and third rows folded down balloons to 123 cubic ft. Every Tahoe is fitted with a 10.2 inch touchscreen which includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, as well as a Wi-Fi hotspot. In addition to its numerous interior power plug-ins, the 3-row Chevy supplies a potent Bose audio system as well as a rear-seat entertainment system with two 12.6" screens mounted behind the front car seats.
