Chris Brudos, Proud owner of a 2009 Chevy Cobalt and Proud customer of JK Chevrolet:"I had the misfortune of driving into my driveway on Sunday night and not being able to shut off my car. It seems that 6 out of every10 Chevy Cobalt's have this problem. Lucky me...I was one of the 6. I have never had the privilege of dealing with an automotive dealerships service department before today. When I phoned I was connected to a Mrs. Tiffany Alphin. I explained to her that I had a recall on my car that was supposed to fix a possible automatic steering problem but my most immediate concern was turning my car off without having to disconnect the battery each time.
Her very professional response was to please bring the car in and she would make sure that it would be fixed. I was hesitant because I am a single mom with one car and my children had to be picked up from school by 3pm. She told me that my warranty would cover a rental while my car was being repaired. I arrived at the dealership by 8:30 and Tiffany had me in a rental car and back home before 9:30.
Not only did your service department repair the ignition problem, they also fixed my drivers side window that would not roll down, both of the automatic remotes that did not work anymore, and the original automatic steering problem that the car was initially recalled for. When I bought the car in September of 2009 I was under the impression that I only had a two year warranty. Tiffany researched my warranty and informed me that I actually had a 3 year manufacturers warranty that was good until September of 2012, or 48K miles.
Hopefully I won't have to use the warranty anymore, but if I do I will definitely rely on the service department at JK Chevrolet. And if I do have to call, I will specifically ask to speak with Tiffany Alphin.
By 2:05 pm Tiffany called to say that my car was repaired. I picked up my children from school and was back in my car before 4.
It is almost inevitable that people will share their customer service horror stories with everyone that will listen. I felt it necessary to share this excellent customer service story with you. If I had the email address of GM's CEO I would forward it to him also.
Thank you Tiffany for a wonderful experience. And thank you to evey employee of JK Chevrolet's service department for keeping this customers life happy."
